GCI’s Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint, which first opened in 2008 on Concourse D, allows travelers passing through Concourse C at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport the chance to celebrate a time when life was slower and sweeter, when music and food were at the heart of social gatherings. The new location seats 120 guests and offers what is known throughout Atlanta as eatertainment – an experience that perfectly blends authentic Southern cuisine with entertaining music that feeds the soul. Celebrating the culture of the Deep South, the menu features the popular Juke Joint fried chicken, house-smoked ribs, seafood gumbo, shrimp and grits, fried green tomatoes, peach cobbler and so much more. Its beverage list introduces signature moonshine cocktails as a throwback to the concoctions typical of legendary juke joints from ‘back in the day.’ Guests enjoy a walk down memory lane, choosing their favorite songs dating back to the 1960s to play in the juke box – from Motown to Blues to Classic Rock.
